Pin or Miss is a daily geography gauntlet. Every dispatch runs five rounds: Pin & Year, Stat Dial, Clue & Pin, Order the Dispatches and the Boss Tri-Modal. Drop a pin on a world map, name a year, dial a statistic and order four dispatches from oldest to newest — a full gauntlet is worth a maximum of 25,000 points.
A pin earns full points within 25 km of the target and decays exponentially beyond that. A year guess earns full points within two years and decays linearly to zero at a 100-year miss. The stat dial scores the error ratio between your guess and the target, and the order round scores the fraction of correctly ordered adjacent pairs.
